Carla Barbosa, MS, MSW
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist providing online psychotherapy services in Ontario, Canada through my practice, The Rainbow Chair – Online Psychotherapy in Ontario. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science in Health Studies from the University of Regina. Fluent in English and Portuguese, I offer anti-oppressive, culturally competent, trauma-informed counselling for adults navigating significant life changes, including immigration, career transitions, grief, or relationship challenges, as well as homophobia, transphobia, and late diagnoses of neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, and giftedness).

I am passionate about social justice, diversity, and inclusion, and I value collaboration, empathy, and authenticity in my work. I’m dedicated to helping clients build resilience, self-understanding, and healthier relationships.

Before becoming a therapist, I practiced as an Architect in Brazil and Canada. In 2016, I transitioned into mental-health work and now have the privilege of providing psychotherapy in Portuguese and English to Brazilian and Canadian clients. I am also a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of New York.
